As a regional center, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology provides outpatient care to the following outpatient departments: Gynecology, Obstetrics, Urogynecology, Infertility, Gynecological Endocrinology, Pediatric Gynecology, Menopause, Genetical consueling, DEXA, Fetal hearth Ultrasound, Osteoporosis, Oncology and Screening Ambulance

In addition to screening, specialty clinics also provide early diagnosis of gynecologic cancers and cancer-preventive conditions, differential diagnosis of pelvic tumors, and the development of relevant therapeutic plans. The clinic provides the opportunity for gynecological oncology consultation for the various units of the Clinical Center as well as for patients in the region and beyond.

Urogynecology: The purpose of the specialty is to treat and follow the urogynecology patients of the clinic in one place, to ensure the work and professional development of colleagues interested in the specialty, and to provide graduate and postgraduate education in urogynecology. Our major areas of care include urinary incontinence, pelvic subsidence, and pelvic pain.

Gynecological outpatient: Our gynecological outpatient clinic offers general gynecological care to our regionally competent patients, as well as providing referrals from hospitals and clinics in the region.

Pregnancy care: Our Pregnancy Ambulance provides general care for pregnant women in Debrecen and Hajdú-Bihar counties, as well as complex care for high-risk pregnant women coming from the East Hungary region in accordance with the principle of progressive care.

Menopausal outpatient: Hormonal changes in menopause cause the majority of women to have physical or psychological symptoms that also affect quality of life. In the long run, estrogen deficiency can cause urogenital (vaginal and urinary) complaints, increase cardiovascular risk (infarction and stroke), accelerate osteoporosis, and increase the risk of fractures. Symptoms are traditionally often suppressed, although there is an effective solution for everyone. We provide personalized consultation, risk assessment and appropriate individual therapy and preventive solutions as well as care for our patients.

Osteoporosis outpatient: Post-menopausal osteoporosis is one of the most serious consequences of estrogen deficiency, the most common cause of osteoporosis, and the resulting fracture is a common cause of elderly morbidity and mortality. At our clinic, we work with the Bone Densitometry Laboratory to evaluate the risk of osteoporosis fracture and to provide a wide range of self-tailored treatment options, making the most of the benefits of social security.

Gynecological Endocrinology: A cycle disorder or a lack of menstruation may point to a number of endocrinological abnormalities. The most common is women's polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), often associated with obesity and masculine symptoms. Other times, the pituitary gland or adrenal gland may not function properly, or other endocrine disorders or metabolic disorders which are less common can be the underlying cause. At our clinic, renowned specialists in gynecology and endocrinology provide personalized examination, therapy and care in collaboration with other Clinic Center outpatient consultation and imaging services.

Infertility: 10-15% of couples are confronted with the fact that they are unable to conceive an pregnancy despite being regularly together. Our clinic offers a wide range of examinations and, if necessary, therapeutic solutions. The most common causes of infertility include ovulation problems (anovulatory infertility) and sperm formation disorder (male infertility), so cooperation with other specialists (endocrinology, andrology) is required. A special type of infertility is childlessness following repeated miscarriages, which requires extensive investigation. Most infertility cases can be successfully treated with minimally invasive surgical intervention (endoscopic reproductive surgery) or with intrauterine insemination (IUI). Our clinic provides a wide range of appropriate professionals and investigative techniques.

Endometriosis care: Endometriosis is an increasingly common gynecological condition nowadays. The main cause of which is the increase in the age of first pregnancy. It causes everyday pain and, on the other hand, infertility, which is difficult to manage. Today, there are many medical and surgical treatments available for treatment, and after proper examination, we can choose the best solution individualy. At our clinic, the Gynecologists specializing in endometriosis, with the help of the imaging services of the Clinical Center, provide self-tailored treatment options.

Pediatric Gynecology: Gynecological care for children and adolescents requires a special approach and education and, of course, different instruments. Their complaints are most often of endocrinological or inflammatory origin, but not infrequently of malformation or oncological disease. At our clinic, doctors with specialist qualifications in pediatrics will care for girls under the age of 18. Our clinic is the national center for the surgical treatment of developmental disorders affecting the female organs.

Fetal heart Ultrasound: In Debrecen, since September 2014, fetal heart ultrasound screening has become available to pregnant women with high-risk pregnancies for fetal heart failure, after prior appointment.

Genetical Consueling: In addition to genetic counseling, we perform chromosome testing of peripheral blood lymphocyte cultures in our cytogenetic laboratory, as well as prenatal testing that requires invasive sampling.

Oncology and Screening Outpatient: The unit functions as an outpatient service for the Department of Gynecologic Oncology which covers all areas of gynecological oncology. In accordance with this principle, cancer screening will be provided, including cytological smear and colposcopic examination. Samples will also be taken for the HPV test according to current regulations.
